Madeleine Cody, MA, found her vocation in helping people with all aspects of their health insurance in 2014. She brings her extensive experience working with providers and insurance companies to assist clients in selecting health insurance plans that meet their needs and budgets. Expertly managing and advocating, she helps to simplify the insurance puzzle, getting clients the most from their plan’s benefits and ensuring their claims and reimbursements are correctly processed.
She is adept at dealing with prior authorizations for medical procedures and medications, securing medical necessity waivers, appealing denials, troubleshooting problems, and helping patients to advocate for themselves.
Drawing on experience and knowledge she gained as a Benefits Administrator for a small business in the financial sector and as a HIPAA representative for plan members, Madeleine joined Eddy & Schein Group in 2018. As a member of the E&S team, she continues to develop and expand her vision of the comprehensive healthcare representation we offer our clients.
Madeleine is a member of AADMM and currently serves on the Executive Committee of the Greater New York Chapter of AADMM.
She has a BA from Bryn Mawr College, an AM in Egyptology from Brown University, and an MA in Art History from The Institute of Fine Arts, New York University. She has found that her detail-oriented skills in translating ancient languages and excavating and interpreting ancient artifacts have proved very useful in dealing with the arcana of contracts, explanations of benefits, and medical coding, and in tracing and resolving claim and authorization issues.
